Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CommandMac handles information across the iPhone app, the free macOS companion app, and this website. The short version: CommandMac is built to keep your data on your own devices and network. We don't sell your data, we don't use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs, and the app does not require an account.
1. Information the app collects
- Subscription data. When you purchase a subscription, Apple processes the payment and RevenueCat manages your subscription status using a randomly generated, anonymous app user ID and your App Store purchase receipt. We do not receive your name, card number, or Apple ID.
- On-device pairing data. The pairing between your iPhone and your Mac (a device name and a local pairing token) is stored on your devices to reconnect automatically. It is not transmitted to us.
- No content collection. The app does not collect the contents of what's on your Mac, your files, your media, or your keystrokes.
2. Local network use
CommandMac uses your local network to discover and control your Mac. iOS will ask for Local Network permission for this purpose. Control commands travel directly between your iPhone and your Mac on your own network — they are not sent to or stored on our servers.
3. Information the website collects
- Waitlist email. If you submit your email on this site, we use Resend to record the signup and send you a confirmation and launch updates. We use it only for that purpose and you can ask us to remove it at any time.
- This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers.
4. How we use information
- To provide and maintain subscriptions and unlock paid features.
- To let your iPhone and Mac find and control each other on your network.
- To send waitlist and launch updates you requested.
- To diagnose problems and improve reliability.
5. Third parties we rely on
- Apple — app distribution and payment processing (see Apple's Privacy Policy).
- RevenueCat — subscription management (see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy).
- Resend — sends the website's waitlist email (see Resend's Privacy Policy).
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
6. Data retention
Subscription records are retained for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal and accounting obligations. Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. On-device pairing data remains on your device until you remove the app or unpair.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights — including removing your email from the waitlist — contact us at contact@updates.meoa.space.
8. Children
CommandMac is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
